CONTRACT MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

In coordination with the Project Management Team, the successful candidate will be required to manage the

day-to-day contract management activities for all Contracts including BOP and DRP EPCM Contracts (these

activities include, but are not limited to):

  • Collaboration as required in the Development of contracting strategies & procurement plans.
  • Collaboration and coordination of tender processes, evaluation of technical bids and Contract Awards.
  • Managing correspondence, ensuring all raised matters are efficiently/effectively handled.
  • Interface with all Contractor aiming at resolving Contractual related issues.
  • Management of Change Order Process (CI, VOPs, VOs, Amendments, etc), assisting with the review and negotiation of change requests, reviewing all contractual issues, resolving disputed change orders in proactive manner.
  • Milestones and Progress measurements and payments
  • Management of Contractual claims, disputes, damages, breaches of Contract
  • Monitoring of financial securities including bonds/guarantees
  • Management of subcontractors
  • Preparation of Contract close outs.
  • Working with significant capital expenditures and schedule execution pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the PMT supporting all contract related areas.
  • Ensure all Contractual compliance is implemented on a daily basis.
  • Ensure Contracts are managed also in consideration of all applicable internal policies, procedures.
  • Competence in providing expert advice on contracts and other legal document interpretation, and able to coordinate, gather, analyze and understand complex information
  • Responsible for supplier performance evaluations in coordination with other PMT functions including HSE.
  • Provide timely feedback to Project Management Team on contractual aspects to avoid misalignments.
  • Participate in risk management process.
  • Preparation of all contract management reports for management.
  • Supervision of all contracts activities in relation to legal, tax, commercial, insurance and other matters.
  • Application of due diligence in all Contract management activities.
  • Monitoring the implementation and adherence to HSE and Quality System Procedures for all Contracts.
  • Attends and supports internal and external meetings and audits with different stakeholders.
  • Provides guidance to develop and monitor relevant Commercial/Contractual KPI’s
  • Takes the lead in coordinating all contract management activities in a proactive manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering or Law or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • No less than fifteen years of contracting experience (10 of which at least should be in major infrastructure, oil and gas projects with exposure in business and risk management including project controls, cost and schedule development).
  • Excellent English proficiency, verbal and written.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Wide Knowledge of contract administration principles and best practices.
  • Wide knowledge of contract law, contract management, financial management of projects, project controls, risk management principles.
  • Demonstrate a dynamic attitude towards process improvements.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different work pressures.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team.
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Good computer literacy skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
