The position
The role of the Senior System Design Engineer is to work with system changes and new features to our electric driveline. You will be responsible for defining requirements and working with the traction voltage system to develop solutions for meeting those requirements. For many software developers, this represents an exciting next step in their career.
In the technology shift into electromobility, this is a cross functional position that is bridging the software and hardware requirements. You will balance the complexity of third part integration with the customers applications in combination with challenges connected to heavy vehicles and platform design. In addition, you will drive cross functional work including system concept and risk analysis. Your collaboration and communication skills are therefore very important.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with a Master of Science in Electronics, Data science, Software engineering, Mechatronics or similar. Ideally you have 6-8 years’ experience working with embedded software design and development or embedded system design and development. Extended experience with propulsion systems in battery electric vehicles and experience from traction voltage systems/components is also valued. It is an advantage to have documented experience working with functional safety and it is meritorious if you have worked with Cyber security in automotive products and applications.
As a person, you should have a solid technical leadership experience in cross functional environment, be a good communicator, be effective at planning and prioritising tasks, be results oriented and willing to challenge the current norms. You are fluent in both written and verbal English.
You can take decisions, engage and inspire, have confidence in your abilities to influence outcomes, are structured and creative, and passionate about networking across functions to achieve shared objectives.
