The Vestas Northern and Central Europe region is a major business unit within Vestas with responsibility for sales, projects, installation and service for wind farms and turbines. We have a regional office in Malmö and warehouses around the countries. Vestas NCE strives for the company's highest level of both modern energy and customer satisfaction as well as being the most attractive workplace. Our service technicians who take care of customers' turbines are one of our most important roles in being on the front line of our service agreements. Vestas is a leading company in the green transition and continues to grow with new, committed employees. Right now, we are looking for service technicians for our traveling unit in northern Sweden, based in the Malå/Jörn region. In this role, you will work in an exciting industry and be part of a traveling team that contributes with flexibility and important expertise on our wind turbines.

Tasks

Your duties will include:

  • Service and maintenance of wind turbines in accordance with service agreements
  • Smooth operation of our turbines and use of our systems such as condition monitoring and remote control
  • Customer contact with owners about upcoming service/repairs and clear reporting of actions taken
  • Responsibility and care of the service vehicle incl. its stock
  • Responsibility for spare parts management and inventory
  • Daily reporting and registration in our ERP system SAP

Qualifications

  • We are looking for someone who has:
  • Experience or education in electrical or mechanics. You are also willing to develop your skills in the areas of
  • Good general computer skills
  • Good oral and written proficiency in both Swedish and English (corporate languages)
  • Previous experience as a service technician or similar work is an advantage
  • Driving licence

For this role, it is important to:

  • You are driven by service work and working in teams
  • You have a high level of security thinking
  • You can easily communicate both with other parts of the organization and with external actors
  • You are solution-oriented, driven, structured and can work independently and make well-informed decisions when necessary
  • When work takes place at height, body physique is required that can handle this
  • You are flexible for varied working days

For this position, there is an absolute requirement for a high level of flexibility in terms of travel and working hours. The number of days traveled in a working year can reach around 190 days and unplanned overtime occurs. A requirement for obtaining employment is that you are approved for mast and pole certificates, which consist of a load ECG and medical examination, and this is carried out during the recruitment process.

In this service, you will work on a rotating schedule (16:12). You will primarily work within your region and, if necessary, work in other regions. The work period starts and ends at your home warehouse (Malå/Jörn), which means that the position is flexible for applicants who live in other parts of Västerbotten.
